Adele’s New Song ‘Hello’ is Breaking Records

Adele’s first song in three years came out on 23rd October and it has already been viewed more than a 100 million times on youtube. The song Hello is the first song to be released from her forthcoming album titled 25. The ballad is becoming UK’s fastest selling single selling more than 750,000 downloads in under a week, dethroning Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do,” which had the biggest opening week of 2015 by far with 173,000 combined sales and streams in a week as reported by Hits Daily Double.

“Hello” also broke the first-day sales and first-day VEVO records. It was downloaded 400,000 times and was watched more than 27 million times in the first 24 hours, which obliterates the record Taylor Swift set with “Bad Blood” in May with 20.1 million views. YouTube trends manager Kevin Allocca has declared the track as “one of the most-watched music video debuts of all time.”

Adele adhered to her theme of simplicity with her new music video which features her talking on the phone during most of the video with American actor and singer/songwriter Tristan Wilds playing her love interest. One can only imagine even greater songs from this album.
