2016 will be a year of big releases, with the Marvel and DC universe taking over the silver screen. Below are some of the most awaited movies of 2016

1.Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Release date: March 25, 2016 (USA)
Director: Zack Snyder
Starring: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first of a kind live-action American super hero movie featuring both Superman and Batman, as well as the first movie to have live-action roles of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg. With Batman and Superman at war with one another, the world battles a greater threat that it’s never known before.
Although a lot of us wished that Christian Bale had reappraised his role as Batman, Henry Cavil is still reason enough to watch the movies, and lets see if Affleck has done justice to the role or not!
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be released in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.

2.Captain America: Civil War

The third instalment in the CA series, Captain America: Civil War takes off after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Another international incident involving Captain America and the Avengers results in collateral damage, prompting politicians to form a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to call in the Avengers, which results in the fracturing of the team while they attempt to protect the world from a new enemy. Captain America is to be released in 3D and IMAX. A teaser was premiered at comic con but the official trailer is yet to be released.

3.The Suicide Squad

Release date: August 5, 2016
Director: David Ayer
Starring: Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez, Adam Beach, and Viola Davis.

The Suicide Squad, also known as Task Force X, is a name for two fictional organizations appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The Movie is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics antihero team. A secret government agency recruits imprisoned super-villains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. It is intended to be the third installment in the DC Extended Universe.The film will be released in 3D, and IMAX 3D

4.Alice Through the Looking Glass

Release date: May 27, 2016 (USA)
Director: James Bobin
Starring: Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Sacha Baron Cohen, Rhys Ifans

Alice Through the Looking Glass is an upcoming American adventure-fantasy feature film based on the novel Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll and is the sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland. The plot is still to be known.

5.Zoolander 2

Release date: February 12, 2016 (USA)
Director: Ben Stiller
Written by: Justin Theroux and Stiller
Starring: Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Christine Taylor, Kristen Wiig, Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian

The movie is a sequel to the 2001 film Zoolander. Derek and Hansel are modelling again displaying their male alter egos when an opposing company tries to bring them down. A classic American comedy in its own right, Zoolander has been a part of the pop culture, lets hope the revival does justice to the original movie.
